Attached to this is a file of correspondence between Tim Robinson and Dr Michael D Max of the Geological Survey that took place some years earlier (10 Jun 1983-5 Sep 1984). The file begins with a copy of a letter from Robinson seeking Max's advice on the type of stone on areas of the Aran Islands, and the correct terminology to use in describing the formations. Holy wells and triangular rock pools are also described for clarification. The area described in the correspondence is the Garomna, which is the subject of the chapter 'Subduction'. 11pp.

First and second drafts of 'This Road Before Me', the Preface to Part 1 of 'A Little Gaelic Kingdom'. The drafts are typed with handwritten annotations, and an indication that Liam [Mac an Iomaire] has read the piece and suggested edits. A typescript document 'Notes to Connemara 1853' which gives context to details mentioned in the diary, such as The Railway Hotel, the Ballinahinch Fishery and more. These are early drafts of the chapter 'Notes', later published in the book.

Two copies of a piece written by Robinson on his revised edition of the Burren map. The piece comments on the slightly larger scale of the map, the increase in the numbers of houses in the area, the National Park and two National Nature Reserves as well as additional archaeological sites.
