Attached to this is a file of correspondence between Tim Robinson and Dr Michael D Max of the Geological Survey that took place some years earlier (10 Jun 1983-5 Sep 1984). The file begins with a copy of a letter from Robinson seeking Max's advice on the type of stone on areas of the Aran Islands, and the correct terminology to use in describing the formations. Holy wells and triangular rock pools are also described for clarification. The area described in the correspondence is the Garomna, which is the subject of the chapter 'Subduction'. 11pp.

At the start of the folder are two copies of a letter from Robinson to Pádraig Ó Snodaigh of Coiscéim written in Irish, seeking permission to include 3 extracts from Chaitlín Maude in 'A Little Gaelic Kingdom'. An early version of the table of contents places 'A Little Gaelic Kingdom' as the second book in the trilogy, and calls Part 1 'The Ways of Freedom'.
