An anecdote about Wittgenstein's visit to Ireland in 1934 is also included). Killary Harbour, Meall an Fhathaigh, Inis Bearna, Beácáin, the LDF lookout post, Tóin an Doire, Cuainín an Róin, Gob an Damba, Caladh na hInse, Dún Aodha, and some brief information about the Killary Salmon Co. Ltd. Festy Mortimer of Rosroe is credited with providing some of the local information.

Mr. Lydon of Tooreen is credited as being one local source of information.

Included are descriptions of Clochacurra and Crigganas, Dog Island, Trá Bhríde (where the Cleggan Disaster took place in 1927), a note on the Freyer family who once owned Sellerne House and a separate note on Sir Peter Johnston Freyer and his work in the Indian medical service. Also included are a note on Cloghacorra Cottage, and finally a description of Duíche, a small bay.
