              Material relating to a series of articles by Tim Robinson for the Connacht Tribune entitled 'Mapping South Connemara'. The articles were later published as a series of books. 'Mapping South Connemara' was published in 1985, and was a compilation of the first 29 articles. In 1992, 'Áit agus Ainm' was published, an Irish language translation of the first 29 articles by Liam Mac an Iomaire. In 2002, the bilingual publication 'Camchuairt Chonamara Theas' / 'A Twisty Journey: Mapping South Connemara' came out. This was an anthology of all 58 articles.

Copy reply from Robinson accepting the invitation. Several handwritten and typed iterations of the talk entitled 'Listening to the Landscape'. The talk focuses on placenames on the Aran Islands, and gives Robinson's personal perspective on the Irish language.

Refers to west Connacht's peaty soils and heavy rainfall as putting the local population at risk, explains environmental and legal problems, and prospecting.
