Letter from O'Hare of the Cunard Steamship Company addressed to Arthur Shields, Abbey Theatre Company, Dublin. O'Hare explains that the difference in the cost of the freight returning to Ireland 'is accounted for by the fall of the £ in terms of American currency', he goes on 'However, I have made a request that some preferential treatment should be given to this shipment, and the Management have agreed, as a special concession...' Also included are the original credit note and a revised one with the reduced rate.
