Included are descriptions of Loch an Oileáin, Mám Aodha, The Western Way, Abhainn Bheag, Bucán, Falmairc River, Aill na hUaighe, and Leckavrea House (now a ruin, also the site of a mill). Peakcocks, Mrs Barrett of Maam Cross, and M. Lynch are credited as being local sources of information.

Included are descriptions of Kylemore House Hotel (including references to various historical sources, and a brief outline of its ownership since it was constructed in 1785), Kylemore Fishery, Gleann Carbaid, Kylemore Woods, Binn Bhreac, Kylemore Lough, Holy Well, Benfree, Mám na Gaoithe, Mám na Scailpe, Kylemore National School, Gort an Roisín, Clochar, Taobh Bán, Mass Rock, Kylemore Pass Hotel, and the Roman Catholic Chapel. Professor Noel P Wilkins, Noel Kirby, and Leo McDonald are credited with providing some of the local information.

Included are descriptions of Rossdue House (sometimes called Ivy Cliff Lodge), Tully Mountain Salmon Farm, Tomb located near the wreck of a ship trading from the West Indies, and Cooannafaha (Cuan na faitce or Fahy Harbour). A letter from M. Gibbons in 2002 is credited as being the source of some of the local information for this townland. Mrs. Lydon from Tooreen also had some information about Rossdue House.
