Text of Françoise Hampson's speech made on behalf of the applicants at the 18 January 2000 oral hearing in the Cemil Kılıç and Mahmut Kaya cases held in the Human Rights Building, Strasbourg. She repeats the claims of the applicants submitted in their memorial and requests that any judgment awarded to Kaya be paid in Swiss francs as he is now a resident of Switzerland.
