Scope and content

Response of the applicant to the observations of the Turkish Government on the application of Ülkü Ekinci to the European Commission of Human Rights. The reply rejects the idea that Yusuf Ekinci could not be a target of ethnic discrimination as 'the overwhelming majority of victims of violations perpetrated by Government forces are Kurds... ...Indeed the central point of this Application is that the only reason for the killing of the Applicant's husband is that he was of Kurdish origin, and that although no politically involved, he looked with sympathy on the democratic demands of the Kurds.' The applicant reiterates her existing complaints.
