Statement (in Turkish with English translation), 'Eziyet'in yazgısı' ('The Destiny of Oppression') by Nazmi Gür of the Human Rights Association about Gür's trip to Ormankadı, Mustafakemalpaşa District, Bursa Province, to meet Şükran Aydın and her family. Gür notes that Aydın now has two young girls, the youngest of which is named Eziyet ('Oppression'). Aydın states that she has two young children and no passport or finances, that it will be very difficult for her to go to Strasbourg to attend hearings in her case, and that she wants her hearing to be held in Ankara. Gür also notes the impoverished conditions in which the Kurdish agricultural workers who have migrated to Ormankadı live, including no schooling, health services, or electricity.
