Scope and content

Documents from the proceedings leading to the decision of admissibility in the Timurtaş case, including the observations (in French with appendices in Turkish) of the Turkish Government submitted on 6 April 1995 requesting the European Commission of Human Rights to declare the application inadmissible, the applicant's response of 22 May 1995 which notes that the Government made no mention of Abdulvahap Timurtaş being taken into custody and that the Government's implications that Abdulvahap may have been a member of the PKK are irrelevant, and the 11 September 1995 majority decision of the Commission declaring the application admissible.
