Letter opens with "Recently some people in the P.D. have been worried about the way the P.D. seems to be drifting..." and discusses "Why the P.D. must reject elitism" [within its ranks], and mentions examples of Cuba and Russia where revolution has had mixed results in providing a changed society for all members. "The P.D. must learn from history and avoid the mistakes of the past" and avoid having an elitism within its ranks and within its Executive Committee.
