File 1 includes multiple typescript copies of the script, each with names of cast members on cover page, some copies with detailed manuscript annotation throughout, with notes on the production. Includes 'Prologue' as well as playscript.
File 2 contains production administration/correspondence regarding productions of the play in Ireland and in Poznan, Poland. Includes correspondence from the Polish Embassy of Poland in Dublin; Memorandum of Agreement made between Pan Pan and Mullingar Arts Centre (Mar 1999), correspondence between Pan Pan and Backstage Theatre, Longford and with West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen re. touring production. Other production material includes a lighting tech spec sheet for the touring of 'Cartoon'; printed flyers and press release from West Cork Cartoon Weekend (Sep 1999).
Files 3-4 include a file of research material, such as press cuttings regarding international coverage of dictatorships, freedom of expression, censorship and also includes drawings of characters.
