              Material relating to the book, 'Irish Theatrescapes: New Irish Plays, Adapted European Plays and Irish Classics' by Joe Vaněk. The book covers thirty-four productions worked on/designed by Vaněk. Each chapter of the book features an introductory essay by Vaněk himself, and there are reproductions of relevant programme notes by such authors as Colm Tóibín, Roy Foster and Richard Pine. There are also essays by many of the artists Vaněk has worked with: Friel, Frank McGuinness, Marina Carr, John Banville, Sebastian Barry and many others.
              These items represent drafts of the final book. Included are two large A3 size volumes, with content from the book pasted in, such as essays, photographs, and archival material, for proof lay-out of the book. Includes manuscript notes by Vaněk throughout.
              File 37/1 includes contact sheets of photographs for assorted theatre productions designed by Joe Vaněk.
