Copy letter from the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Language Freedom Movement [E.P. D'Alton], sent to Mr. Cleary (note at bottom indicates the letter was also sent to Mary Cronin and Rory Broderick, appealing to them to reconsider their decision to resign. Letter signed by Cleary, Cronin, and Broderick outlining their reasons for the resignation. Separate letter from Mary Cronin thanking Mr. D'Alton for his original letter, and hoping they may still resolve their differences.
Copy cover letter dated 19 December 1970 from Christopher Morris to James McLaughlin Poole enclosing an evaluation of an article that appeared in 'The F.F. News', the evaluation and the article are not included. Offers a summary of the Language Freedom Movement's viewpoint, states his willingness to meet with anyone to discuss the language issue. Reply from Mr. Poole thanking Mr. Morris for his most interesting letter dated 6/1/70 (this date does not correspond with the copy of Mr. Morris's original letter held in this collection, however Mr. Poole refers to enclosures in his response, so it seems to be the same piece of correspondence). Mr. Poole advises he has forwarded Mr. Morris' treatise to the author of the article in order to have his views before any approach is made to higher echelons. He compliments Mr. Morris on his dedication to the cause.
Letter to Dónall Ó Móráin, [Chairman of Gael-Linn] from Christopher Morris concerning an incident in which a relative of his was visited by two representatives of Gael-Linn recruiting for membership. Mr. Morris believes he was slandered by these representatives. Reply from Mr. Ó Móráin in which he denies that Mr. Morris was slandered, and gives the account of events relayed to him by the canvasser in question.

Discusses the possibility of a creative dialogue between the Comhdháil and the LFM. Three letters sent to Christopher Morris from Nóra Ní Dhomhnaill, Cúntóir an Stiúrthóra in January and March 1970, acknowledging Morris's letter and apologising for the delay in reply, which was due to Cornal Ó'Néill having been ill.
Correspondence between Christopher Morris and M.A. Eissen, Registrar of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Morris writes to Eissen in a letter dated 11 August 1970, requesting information on any literature available on the Belgian linguistic cases. In his reply on 19 August 1970, Mr. Eissen encloses stencilled texts of both judgements, which took place on 9 February 1967 and 23 July 1968, as well as the press releases issued by the court, and a list of relevant articles appearing in various books and periodicals. Mr. Morris responds to Mr. Eissen in a letter on 11 September 1970, thanking him for his response, and giving an overview of the Irish linguistic situation. He seeks advice on how to bring the matter to the attention of the European Court of Human Rights. Mr. Eissen responds on 23 September, advising he has forwarded Mr. Morris's letter to the Secretary of the Commission, as the Court cannot examine the case.
