Galway; Notes include drawings, sketches and dimensions of stone objects at [Templemoyle]; Report on the discovery of the bell and grave slab at Templemoyle by Etienne Rynne; assorted draft and annotated copies of article by Rynne: "Locating Tisaxon - Discovery of a Bell and Graveslab near Athenry". File includes correspondence between Etienne Rynne and Dr. Robin Glasscock, Dept. of Geography, Queen's University, Belfast. Includes a letter from Rynne discussing items to be added into State care via the National Monuments Advisory Committee, such as Athenry town walls and others such as in Fethard, Co. Tipperary. Rynne also discusses the presence of the I.R.A. and comments generally on the ongoing conflict (7 Oct 1971); Further letters between both discuss mottes and baileys generally and with specific examples in Limerick, Clare, Galway, and Mayo. Research material includes an article about mottes and baileys in the Netherlands.

File relating to research on mazes and labyrinths by Etienne Rynne. Includes index cards with MS notes on labyrinths in Ireland (Cork) and also England.
Also assorted offprints of published articles, such as "Decorative Cobbling: Examples from counties Limerick, Wexford, and Cork" by A.T. Lucas. Other articles relate to locations such as Lough Gur, Co. Limerick and other locations in Ireland and internationally.

File includes material relating to G.B. Shaw. Includes letters from Etienne Rynne to Sotheby's Auction House, London, enquiring about some post-cards written from Shaw to Professor E.M. Butler, discussing the bust of Shaw created by Auguste Rodin, on which Rynne is researching. Also includes postcard image of a bust of Shaw; an original catalogue for the Auguste Rodin Exhibition of Sculpture and Drawings, (1962), and which carries a foreword by Shaw.
