File includes correspondence between Etienne Rynne and Dr. Robin Glasscock, Dept. of Geography, Queen's University, Belfast. Includes a letter from Rynne discussing items to be added into State care via the National Monuments Advisory Committee, such as Athenry town walls and others such as in Fethard, Co. Tipperary. Rynne also discusses the presence of the I.R.A. and comments generally on the ongoing conflict (7 Oct 1971); Further letters between both discuss mottes and baileys generally and with specific examples in Limerick, Clare, Galway, and Mayo.
