File 1 Includes off-print of published article by Rynne entitled "The Tau-Cross at Killinaboy: Pagan or Christian?" (North Munster Studies, 1967) and also assorted MS and TS drafts of the article and other written observations.
File 2 includes MS and TS correspondence between Rynne and the Royal Society concerning the lecture; also letters between Rynne and others such as John Wallace and the National Museum of Ireland discussing a find, 'St. Patrick's Farthing' and other 18th C. coins, with etchings of coins on the letter. Also a batch of letters between Rynne and others including Charles Haughey, T.D. and Minister for Finance, regarding a protest "against the proposal to remove certain ancient monuments from their present sites to Dublin for exhibition as a display of modern painting organised by ROSC (Oct 1967) with further letters to Michael Scott and to the Office of Public Works by Rynne detailing the terms of the protest and objections to the exhibition. (1967).
File 3 includes detailed manuscript notes and loose-leaf pages of MS drawings by Rynne on the topic of the Tao Cross.
File 4 includes black and white and also colour photographic prints of Tao at Killinaboy and also images taken of a Tao cross on Tory Island.
File 5 includes image plates and illustrations used by Rynne in his research and lectures on Tao crosses.
File 6 includes press cuttings with letters to the press by Etienne Rynne commenting on the Tao Cross at Killinaboy (1973)
