              Copy fax sent to Rt. Hon. Peter Mandelson, M.P., Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and to John O'Donoghue, T.D., from De Chastelain, Nieminen and Sens, updating on recent inspection of IRA weapons dumps by President Martti Ahtisaari and Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa. Includes attached report from both inspectors to the Commission on their inspection of said IRA arms dumps, concluding that they viewed a substantial amount of weapons and explosives but are satisfied that all are securely stored, cannot be accessed without detection and represents "a genuine effort by the IRA to advance the Peace Process." (25 June 2000).

              Typed letter from Hugh Logue to Seamus [Mallon]: "... you have been doing exceptionally well on all media fronts... [discusses aspects of Good Friday Agreement]... "the Peter Brooke Declaration on behalf of the British Government .... if [De Chastelain] can conform his Commission can execute its mandate . . . The anxiety over Trimble's position is now past. Hon John Reid M.P., Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and to John O'Donoghue, T.D., Minister for Justice, Equality, and Law Reform, Dublin, with statement of three points, including that "we have witnessed an event in which the IRA leadership has put a varied and substantial quantity of ammunition, arms and explosive material beyond use... signed by John De Chastelain and Andrew Sens (n.d.); Copy fax sent from John de Chastelain, Andrew Sens, and Tauno Nieminen to Rt. Hon. John Reid and to John O'Donoghue T.D., updating with three points including that "IRA representatives proposed a method for putting IRA arms completely and verifiably beyond use" (6 Aug 2001).

              Signed letter from Rt. Hon David Trimble M.P., MLA, to Rt. Hon Tony Blair M.P. Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street and to Bertie Ahern, Taoiseach, Dublin, indicating that after a meeting with the three commissioners of the IICD, Trimble advises that the public will expect a clear update detailing IRA agreement and plans on putting weapons beyond use but as no update has yet come, Trimble fears a negative update from the Commission will be met badly by the public.               Cover letter, and four copies of the reply of Christopher T. Morris, President of the Language Freedom Movement, to a piece read by the Auditor, Mr. A. O'D. Johnstone, to the inaugural meeting of the UCG Literary and Debating Society on 25 November, 1969. The cover letter is from Mr. Morris, and is addressed to Dr. Seán MacDonagh, the Honorary Treasurer of the Society regarding travel expenses, and expressing his thanks at being invited to the event. In the address, Mr. Morris concentrates on two points: the ultimate aim of language policy, and the attitudes of ordinary people towards the language question.
