              This file, labelled "Arklow Survey", consists of material relating to a survey by Arklow Social Studies Group of “Arklow People's knowledge of and attitudes towards family matters", 1981-82, and includes three copies of the survey sent to Mary Robinson (MR) separately by Tom Collins, Lecturer, Centre for Adult & Community Education, St Patrick's College Maynooth, Dr Andrew Rynne, and John F Carroll, General President, Irish Transport and General Workers' Union, 06-31/05/1982, two copies of comment made by MR at a seminar in Arklow, 13/05/1982, and typed summary of keynote speech by MR "Young People and Civil Liberties" at Second National Youth Congress, Dun Laoghaire, 27/03/1982.

The book was not published until 1999, no evidence Rynne was a contributor to the final volume. Northern Ireland, the Police Authority, the Commissioner of the Garda Siochana, Merlyn Reece, M.P., National Council for Civil Liberties, Amnesty International and Human Rights Groups at home and abroad, detailing the arrest by [British Army] Officers, of James Collins, the physical search of his home and Collins' subsequent arrest and interrogation where it was claimed he was subjected to verbal abuse and threat of rape made against his daughter.
