Typescript letter from Martin Ennals, Secretary General of Amnesty International, writing to Boyle ahead of 'Amnesty International undertaking a mission to Northern Ireland to investigate allegations of maltreatment of persons detained for questioning by the police or army and to study the operation of the emergency legislation' and asks Boyle if he would meet and brief the delegates. Boyle writes his reply on this letter and adds "I will of course co-operate in any way that I can when your delegates arrive" and adds further comment on the functioning and structure of Diplock Courts in Northern Ireland.
