Files relating to Minority Rights Group, an international non-governmental Human Rights orientated body which acted as an advocate for global Human Rights issues, especially relating to minority right, languages, cultures, traditions, place and other such issues. Prof. Kevin Boyle was Chair of Minority Rights Group International in 2009.

Minutes of Central Committee Meeting in the Club House, Kilkenny, held on 29 November 1970. Those in attendance are listed. Discussions on some procedural matters are outlined, also a discussion on correspondence received from RTÉ was read out concerning the possibility of a debate on the language being aired on 'The Late Late Show', and a complaint regarding the 'Watch Your Language' programme. The former is not included in the collection, however the latter is, please see G44/3/3/5. Letter writing campaigns and possible press releases are discussed, along with involvement of clergy members with the organisation.
