              Handwritten text of a speech delivered by Kevin Boyle and headed 'Third International Religious Liberty Congress', and which opens "Last week I stood down as Director of Article 19 and as Chairman of the International Committee for the Defence of Salman Rushdie and his Publishers. Under the topic heading of 'Western Europe', I thought I would speak about the Rushdie affair as it relates to Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Expression.... (written in blue ink) Also included is handwritten (in black ink) text by Boyle that is headed: 'Ladies & Gentlemen, my conclusion is going to be modest . . .' and outlines comment on Article 19 and the Rushdie case. These may be linked documents.

              Includes printed conference pack and programme details from conference "Rethinking 1980/81 Hunger Strikes" (27 June 2016), venue possible Institute for Irish Studies, Liverpool University. Includes printed emails between Logue and Richard 'Ricky' O'Rawe, author and former Irish Republican prisoner, with notes and transcripts of interview with Logue about events relating to the Hunger Strikes at the Maze Prison, 1981.
