Copy of letter sent by Michael Rynne to the Irish Times, 5 Dec 1977, explaining details of the context surrounding the 'Flyers' reference in the above photograph, and of the "Ozeanbezwinger" (the Atlantic Conquerors) - James FitzMaurice and two German comrades. Rynne describes he witnessed the event which showed the flyers returning to the Lufthansa Headquarters, 1928.
