Includes black and white photographic prints (mostly from the National Museum of Ireland) Some images titled as being of cast of Castlehenge Stone, Co. Roscommon; Turoe Stone, La Téne carved stone from Mullaghmart, Co. Kildare. Also includes ms research notes on stone pillars by Rynne. File 2 includes assorted research articles on stone pillars retained by Rynne in his research.

(1 Dec 1922) and another signed by Michael Keating, Staff-Captain. (5 Sep 1922). A manuscript permission letter on headed paper of Portobello Barracks is dated 4 Jul 1922. A printed 'General Permit to Travel', dated 12 Jul 1922. Also second General Permit to Travel, undated.

Notice and Agenda of General Convention of the Irish Republican Army, General Headquarters, Beggars Bush, Dublin. TS document, with copy in Irish translation, sent to each company captain, detailing the agenda and terms for the convention to be held on 26 Mar 1922 and also lists the constitution of the Brigade Convention. Letter typed by Staff-Capt [Rynne] to Comdt-Gen'l Hogan, G.O.C. Eastern Command, tendering resignation of "my commission as an Officer in the Irish Army" as Rynne does not wish to make the Army his career. Rynne outlines the reasons why political events around the Treaty meant his sense of duty ensured he could not resign earlier. Written at Eastern District Command Headquarters, Wellington Barracks (31 Dec 1922) Two copies.

Manuscript note of request signed by [B.M.] Lyons, seconded by A. Blythe, requesting a suit of clothes be made available for Captain G.P.C. [ ] who is located at 39 Upper Mount Street, where he is known as 'Mr. Byrne'.

TS document, titled "Before it is Too Late? - being a series of statements opposing Irish support for British army. "Will you fight for the Empire against Ireland now? . . . "Why are you trying to kill the Republic now?" (Attached is an envelope date stamped 4 Sep 1922 and addressed to Michael Rynne and Portobello Barracks.
