Myles Prendergast who joined the French in 1798, and his relationship with Richard Martin (Humanity Dick). Brief descriptions are given of Gowlan Lough and Gowlan Hill. Liam Ward, a fishery officer from Clifden, and Ritchie Savage of Gowlan West are credited with providing the information.

Included are descriptions of Loch na Suthairí, Loch Seangach, Loch Scainimh, Loch Bólard, and Dúloch Mór and Beag. Series of index cards describing each of the townlands within the Civil Parish of Ballindoon, [Baile an Dúine], which corresponds with the Roman Catholic Parishes of Clifden and Ballyconneely. St. Flannan of the noble Tuamonian blood is patron of this parish, and his festival of 18th December is kept here.

Included are descriptions of a Monument to IRA men (a story of two men who were shot without warning during the Civil War at Marconi's Telegraphy Station), Ballinaboy House (property of Colonel Anthony Morris, and later the Kendall family, bought back by the Morris family in later years,) Loch Eidhneach, Ballinaboy Lodge, Loch an Phota, and the Alcock and Browne Memorial. P. de Courcy and Colonel Morris are credited with providing some of the local information.

Included are descriptions of the local factory (belonged at one point to Scottish company Atlantic Alginates), Garbhcharraig, Poll Phéig Úna, Carraig Dhonncha, Scailp Úna, and Fox Island. The Connemara Golf Club was established there in 1973, and there is a local story that someone once deposited gold in a lake, which then filled up with sand so that he couldn't find it, on the site of the golf course. Also included are descriptions of Corrach Mór, and Cannon Rock (the site of a 9-pound cannon carried by part of a wrecked vessel). Seán King of Ballyconnelly, and John O'Neill, the oldest resident of Aill Breac are credited with providing some of the local information.
