Photostats of letters from David G. Clarke addressed to Aideen O'Connor and Arthur Shields 1843 N. Cherokee, Hollywood, California. The letters written from the Pacific Theatre of operation where Clarke was apparently stationed. In letter dated 30 May 1943 Clarke writes 'My life is quite uneventful, except for the letters.' In letter dated 29 March 1944 Clarke writes of his 'outfit's trip to Bougainville for the fighting there. We took care of the boys there and we [were] commended by the general for devotion to duty.'
