Scope and content

Original handwritten letter from M[ichael Oatley], Salisbury, Zimbabwe, to Brendan Duddy, mostly about family and personal matters, mentioning his work in South Africa briefly. Initially, however, commenting on a matter he discussed with Duddy; he had wished to set something up before leaving but since then the weather and people's minds have changed; finding that 'the structure' is wrong but that he cannot change things from where he is now. Encouraging Duddy to do what is within his grasp to do. NOTE: this document is partly restricted and a reprographic copy will be available for consultation.
