Letter from Colbert Kearney, Department of English, UCC, to Eoghan Ó Tuairisc, saying that his mother-in-law has planned the wedding and that they are not having any friends along. He comments that he has seen his leaving cert poetry book in the shops, and gives him news of acquaintances. He gives him news of his trip to England, and comments that he can talk on whatever topic he wants in the lecture. Hopes himself and Rita are getting on well.

He has just emerged from the triennial conference for the international Association for the Study of Anglo-Irish Literature but that there were only one or two good lectures from Dublin at it. Sean Lucy and himself would like him to come to Cork at some stage, and his father tells him that Dan Lowery is nearly finished. Looks forward to seeing him soon.
