              Photocopied pages from a collection of manuscripts held by John Waddell of the Island and Coast Society of Ireland, established in 1833 to provide education to Protestant Children in remote parts of the coast and adjacent islands of Ireland. The photocopies mainly cover the years 1883 to 1928, and include press cuttings of their public appeals for funds, letters relating to Buildings being rented by the organisation in Kilronan, and photocopies of subscriptions received.

              Photocopy of the Journal of George [Warren], a teacher based on the Aran Islands working on behalf of the Missionary Society for Islands and Coast of Ireland. The journal begins with a log for the winter 1854-1855, recording the portion of scripture read in school that day, and the number of pupils present each day. The rest of the journal is filled with diary entries that describe the author's visits in the community on religious matters, naming all the locals he spoke to in the course of his work. It is accompanied by a cover note to Robinson from John Waddell, dated 4 Jul 1986.

              Three letters, two from George Russell (AE) to Michael Rynne, discussing Rynne's contributions to The Irish Statesman, and states "I do not think any other writer in Ireland will anticipate what you say because I do not think any other writer has your knowledge." (8 Dec 1925). Also a MS letter from assistant editor of The Irish Statesman to Rynne, passing on comments from George Russell. Stamped envelopes included addressed to Rynne in Berlin and also at Strand House, Limerick.

              The Horse in Pagan Ireland

              File includes research material on the horse in pagan Ireland. Includes article entitled "The Celtic Iconography of the Horse, and Some Antecedents", sent to Rynne from Andy [ ], Dept of Geography, University of Glasgow (1975); Black and white photographs sourced from the British Museum of a wooden bucket with metal detail featuring image of a horse. Also includes other images on transparencies of horse figures in pagan Ireland.

              File of correspondence and notes of Druid Theatre to others including Tom Cullivan, composer, discussing commissioning of music and score for Druid production of "The Glass Menagerie" written by Tennessee Williams. Includes correspondence between Jerome Hynes, Druid, and staff at Samuel French, Theatre Agent, detailing terms and conditions for rights and royalties relating to Druid's production of "The Glass Menagerie". Box-Office returns from the production also included. Letters also present between Jerome Hynes, Druid, and Steve Plant, discussing terms and work completed by Plant as part of the production.
