Script of lecture entitled "The Principles of the Direct Method" delivered by Dr. Mac Énrí to the inspectors and organisers of the National Board of Colaiste Laighean. In it he discusses the best method of teaching Irish to children.

File containing notes and correspondence relating to the meaning and use of certain words in Gaelic. There are several letters from An Doctuir Conchubhair Mac Guirdir, Clar Cloinne Muiris, Co. Maigheo, relating to medical terms in Irish. There are also notes on variations on words from various parts of the country [in Irish and English].

The material is undated. Differences in the writing when compared with the published book indicate these are first or very early drafts.

Typed drafts with handwritten annotations, some pages are cut into fragments. The file does not contain the entire manuscript of what became 'North', and the pages represent drafts from different times.
