Letters from Maire Judge, 16 Palmerston Gardens, Dublin, Ireland addressed to Mrs. Arthur Shields, 1535 N Sierra Bonita Avenue, Hollywood, California. Judge who may be related to the Abbey actor M.J. McCormick was apparently a friend of Aideen O'Connor's writes in about recent performances she has attended in Dublin. In letter dated 1949 Judge thanks Shields for sending her magazines from Hollywood. She also writes that she was having lunch with Micheál Mac Liammóir and that he was making a film of Othello with Orson Welles, she goes on '[while] they were rehearsing the film in Paris (it's to be made in Rome) and Micheál spent his time writing free verse in Gaelic about a casino in Monte Carlo - and if that's not cosmopolitanism, I don't know what is!'
