Scope and content

Letter from Liam Ó Briain to Mr. Dermody, stating that he has written to the Department of Education resigning from his position in the Taibhdhearc. He discusses outstanding business in relation to bills. He states that he will tell the Department and the public that he is retiring for personal reasons and the pressure of other work. He tells Mr Dermody that he will not be "a hostile force on your flank", and suggests that certain elements in Galway will rally to his aid once he retires. He hopes that the Taibhdhearc will prosper. "I will be able to attend better to my own business and you will be free from the slavedriving to which you apparently, you have been subjected to during the past year".
