Letter to Canon Hayes from Joseph Kennedy, Newmarket, County Cork, inviting Canon Hayes on behalf of 'the Committee of the Town Park and Sportsfield, that was purchased here under the auspices of Muintir na Tíre and G.A.A.' to attend the opening day of the park on 28 August 1955. The letter also solicits Canon Hayes' assistance in getting the full Tipperary GAA hurling team for that day to play the full Cork team, who are already confirmed. An annotation from Canon Hayes notes that the Tipperary GAA board was written to on 16 June 1955.
