Letter to Canon Hayes from Pádraig de Brún, President, University College Galway, inviting Canon Hayes to a meeting regarding the establishment of a Faculty of Agriculture on 18 July 1955. The letter notes that 'we are assured of similar action and strong backing by the sister University Colleges of Dublin and Cork; we are also assured the enthusiastic support of Macra na Feirme and the National Farmers' Association.' A typed annotation at top reads: 'Fr. McManus, Dr. McLoughlin, Mr. Sweeney, Athenry. Written to attend meeting. Canon Hayes. 12/7/55.'
