Letter from Hilton Edwards, Wexford Post Office, to Prof Ó Briain. He begins by correcting his term "arc" to "flood lantern". He suggests dealing with the Strand Electric Company "They are the most efficient and reliable firm that I know". He has also specified a switchboard made in Galway, which is how he came to the figure of £110. He is sorry to hear that they will have to use the other hall. He assures him that "I am not trying to persuade you to run into great expense for a fad". He suggests that he sees what the "Peacock" got for £50. He comments that there are excellent regulations on fire-proofing in England which are advisable but expensive. "… the regulations of that wicked country do not apply over here".
