Letter from Herbert Petzold, Registrar, European Court of Human Rights, to Kevin Boyle and Françoise Hampson with comments on the applicant's memorial submitted in the Şükran Aydın case. Petzold notes that: Appendix 8 reproduced the applicant's submissions on the merits of the case in the proceedings before the Commission; Appendix 4 reproduces letters sent by the applicant to the Secretary and President of the Commission; the memorial itself quotes from evidence given to the delegates in Turkey and quotes the observations of the Turkish Government; and the applicant has wished to have her pleadings read in conjunction with other materials used in proceedings before the Commission. Petzold asks Boyle and Hampson to maintain the confidentiality of these appendices and memorial sections pending confirmation that the applicant has no objection to their being made public. Includes letter and fax copies.
