Letter from Earnán de Blaghd, Minister for Finance, to Seamus Ó Beirn, Sea Park, Galway, stating that he had met Mac Liammóir. He feels that there has been a misunderstanding between them. Mac Liammóir would not have stayed in the Abbey for another week if he thought the Taibhdhearc would have been put out by it. He feels that the Committee are in no position to fall out with Mac Liammóir "one of the few competent people available". He states that Mac Liammóir wants a more business-like arrangement. He states that he has been offered work with the Dublin Comhar and the Gate, but recognises that the endeavour in Galway is more important. He feels that he should not be writing to them in relation to what is their own business, but fears that the project could get bogged down. He states that they are more favourably situated to get actors, but not producers. He feels that the problem with Mac Liammóir is that he will not stay in Galway. He suggests that they advertise for Irish speaking actors in the Independent first, and then see if any of these applicants would be suitable as producer.
