Scope and content

Letter from Colbert Kearney, Department of English, UCC, to Eoghan Ó Tuairisc, thanking him for his letter, commenting that he is supposed to be preparing two lectures, one on Greek drama and the other on "Julius Caesar". He gives out that the university is shut down to indicate its holiness, and that it took him an hour to get into his office and that the Library is closed. He comments that the Department is congenial and more civilized that many he has heard about. He ends by giving him family news.
