Letter from Aideen O'Connor, Hotel Sir Francis Drake, San Francisco addressed to her sisters Eileen and Maeve. Aideen O'Connor recounts some time she spent in Hollywood where she met amongst others Maureen O'Sullivan, Ralph Bellamy, Edward G. Robinson and James Cagney who was 'very unassuming and terribly interested in Ireland.' Regarding her future with the Abbey she writes 'there is nothing definite about my contract yet, but Mac says I will get one at a starting salary of £5 a week! However, I shan't know till I get back and see Lennox. But, I do hope they keep me on. Mick says that when Lennox hears I turned down the films to stay with the Abbey he will surely keep me on. One thing is certain and that is I won't go back to Polikoffs or any office. I shall stick to the stage for good or evil now.'
