This contains correspondence from 56 fellow writers (including some twenty drafts shared with Kilroy), correspondence from theatre practitioners, and from a few other private individuals. Among the correspondents are Seamus Deane, Seamus Heaney, Desmond O'Grady, Frank McGuinness, Mary Lavin, John McGahern, Tom Murphy, Tom MacIntyre, and Benedict Kiely; Stephen Rea.
This series relates primarily to communication between CnaG and various private companies and bodies on the subject of their use of Irish in everyday dealings with the general public and in advertisements promoting themselves. It is further subdivided by companies and consists primarily of correspondence and samples.

Private and confidential letter from J Richardson, Lucknow, to Peter Freyer, relating to a friendly luncheon he had with Sir Charles Crosthwaite, at Bareilly, where they discussed 'your case'. In the event of Freyer returning to India he reckons that he would be promoted as befitted his length of service and reputation. Unfortunately Freyer's claim to further remuneration above the 20,000 rupees approved by the Council of Regency, has stopped the payment of that sum. He doubts if he is justified in telling Freyer all this before a final decision has been made regarding the 20,000 rupees. He briefly refers to the trial of the General's murderess at Rampur and also states that he is fairly certain that Freyer will get his leave. Until he knows this for certain he cannot ask the Lieutenant Governor to give Moradabad to Willie Deane. He jokingly offers him £5,000 for his lakh, tells of having met Col Vincent at the Lieut Governors and calls the young Nawab a 'skunk'.

This includes correspondence, minutes, flyers and press releases. Items include a press release regarding a letter from Maolsheachlainn Ó Caollaí to President Hillary on behalf of prisoners in the North in relation to their status if Ireland joined EEC (G60/37/5/1); a letter on cigarette wrappers in Irish from Donncha Mac Niallais, Irish language officer, H-Bloc 19/9/83 (G60/37/5/2); letters from prisoners Pól Ó Manachain, Eoghan Mac Cormaic, RJ McAllister (in relation to the "The Corporals Trials"), and material relating to case taken by Mac Cormaic and John Pickering against Northern Ireland Office in relation to treatment and use of Irish in prison (G60/37/5/3); and material relating to extradition (G60/37/5/4).

G60/29/17/1 relates to prisoners’ right to speak and learn Irish and to receive and use Irish language materials in prison and includes a note written on tobacco paper from H Bloc prisoner Seán Ó Néill (25/9/1984); G60/29/17/2 relates to the treatment of prisoners including frequency and violence of strip searching and includes "Report of the Independent Public Inquiry into Abuse and Torture of Irish Prisoners" May 1978; G60/29/17/3 contains material relating to the Nicky Kelly Case [Kelly was alleged to have taken part in the 1976 Sallins Train Robbery, was tortured in custody and after evidence cast doubt on his conviction was eventually given a Presidential pardon]. The final three files in this subseries consist of cuttings relating to these topics.
