G60/46/7/2 consists of material relating to the Irish language drop-in centre "An tIonad Buail Isteach", 43 East Essex St., Dublin which ran language classes, trips, ciorcal comhrá (informal gatherings to practice conversation in Irish), events in support of human rights & civil rights from 1973, nature events and youth events. G60/46/7/3 consists of correspondence relating to An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha of which Seán Ó Dálaigh was Chair for a period. The final two files in this subseries consist of general correspondence, invites and flyers and cover the period 1960-2011.

The correspondence is with the European Commission of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights, the Kurdish Human Rights Project, and the Diyarbakır-based legal team members. Notable items within this correspondence accessible to the public include: Yaşa’s supplementary statement of 9 November 1993 regarding death threats he received for applying to the Commission; letters which accompanied documents and observations submitted on behalf of the applicants; requests on behalf of the applicant for extensions of document submission deadlines; Mahmut Şakar’s statement of 31 May 1994 (submitted 24 April 1995); Yaşa’s 14 July 1995 declaration of means; the Commission’s 9 July 1997 referral of the case to the Court; Yaşa’s letters of legal authorisation for Boyle, Hampson, and Osman Baydemir submitted 13 January 1998; correspondence pertaining to the 21 April 1998 case hearing in Strasbourg; and the Court’s letter of 10 August 1998 informing that a judgment will be adopted.
