Letter from William Donelan to “Charley” saying that he will not go to Sylane as it would cause trouble for Jim. Asks him to let him know what happens, and if Bessie is to come to him, and when he has to seize the lease in Beagh. He states that it is no reflection on Him, but that he has to keep his two creditors, Kelly and McDonnell, in the dark. He asks him to explain to Kelly that he has no money and is unlikely to have any.

He states that he has been moved to Mohill, a quiet station for County Cavan "… not through any fault of mine, but in consequence of promotion".
