It does not include visits within Ireland by President Robinson, which can be found in P143/4/12. This subseries is further divided into a single file consisting of Government correspondence relating to MR's visits in 1991 and 1992 in general terms (P143/5/1), a subsubseries relating to incoming visits to Ireland by others (P143/5/2) and a subsubseries relating to MR's visits abroad (P143/5/3), arranged chronologically by year. Material includes briefing documentation, programmes, invitations, press material and correspondence.

Letter refers to memorandum of 18/01/1991 concerning MR's visits abroad and visits to Ireland at Head of State level in 1991 and 1992 and informs recipients of what visits the Government had authorised.
