This series contains documents relating to the Saurin Estate. All papers relate to Mark A. Saurin. This series has been divided into one subseries and two sub-subseries. A bundle of Quit rent receipts has been included in this series as their origins are unclear as they are badly damaged but they were included with a letter which relates to Mark Saurin. All materials have been arranged chronologically within this series.

She also wants to know "how your foot is now".
One letter with a profile of a child [presumably their daughter Elizabeth] from his wife Sarah at Canterbury England, to Adam Ormsby in Wellington's army on the Continent. She tells of her life, financial difficulties and friends, that she has written to his brother [see 1813 letter from Thomas] and that his daughter looks like the Ormsbys. The letter is also written across, very faded.
