Seán hÓráin worked as a solicitor in Galway, and was active in An Taibhdhearc as an actor from his student days in UCG. He became producer from 1951 until his resignation in 1955 due to work pressures. He provided a measure of stability at a time when the theatre was in transition and lost some key personnel, as well as the perennial problem of finance.
Material in this series was gathered by Seán Ó Dálaigh, donated to Conradh na Gaeilge and accessioned as an agreed part of this collection in 2021. It has therefore been kept together under the one series. It includes minutes, correspondence, flyers and other material relating to the Conradh na Gaeilge Club on Harcourt street, Dublin (G60/46/1), Dublin City Feis (G60/46/2), Craobh Móibhí branch of Conradh na Gaeilge (G60/46/3), the Oireachtas (G60/46/4), Dublin City Committee (G60/46/5), Dáil Cathrach [City executive committee] (G60/46/6), general correspondence (G60/46/7) and ephemera (G60/46/8).
