She asks what his views are on taking jokes from American papers and putting Irish on them. She says that it might be better if it was an eight page paper as it would help in teaching the children ""they're the most important people in Ireland today as regards the language"". She suggests that a children's section should have a lot of pictures as well as articles on ancient crafts rather than just articles of Irish legends. She also suggests a book corner. ""Tell us who are the good writers, make mince-meat of Joyce & Yeats & Sean Casey the dramatist"". She also suggests puzzles and competitions."

She is sending material translated by Sr M Buchmans, including a play that she has no idea what the content is of. She says that it would be impossible for her to judge the competitions and suggests that the curate does it. She asks him to settle the name of the section soon. She comments that she has a number of articles on the history of Sligo that he might like in Irish. She ends by asking him to address the parcels to her in Irish.

Materials pertaining to the Sproule family letters, which consist of a number of letters between members of the Sproule family who emigrated from County Tyrone to locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Many of the letters are to and from Andrew Sproule, who emigrated sometime before 1845, eventually settling in West Leipsic, Ohio, and who encouraged members of his immediate family to follow. Though few did follow, the letters indicate that other extended family members were also in America and they were in correspondence with each other. The letters date between 1845 and 1890. The series also includes Kerby A. Miller's research on the Sproule family.
