Marriage Settlement between Geoffry Browne of CastlemacGarett, Co. Mayo, Esq., and Dominick Browne of Ashford, Co. Galway, Esq. of the first part; Sir Henry Lynch of Castle Carra, Co. Mayo, Bart., Robert Lynch Blosse of Tuam, Co. Galway, his son and heir, and Hariett Lynch, eldest daughter of the said Sir Henry, of the second part. and Hariett Lynch, eldest daughter of the said Sir Henry, and John Browne of Westport, Esq. and Oliver Martin of Tulliry, Esq. of the third part. It recounts the marriage settlement of Dominick Browne and Megg Blake in 1693, settling lands in Co. Galway and Co. Mayo on the estate, and these are in turn passed on to Dominick and Harriet.

Sir Henry Lynch, Bart., Dame Mary his wife, Robert Blosse, Esq., Henry Lynch Blosse and Francis Lynch Blosse (minors, by their father and guardian Robt. Lynch Blosse). Recites various agreements and marriage settlements, asserting Harriet Lynch’s right to £1750 from the estate, but contested by Robert Lynch Blosse because she was a Papist and that the claim is more than one-third of the estate, which cannot be inherited by Catholics under law from a Protestant estate.

Deed of assignment by Mary, Lady Lynch, widow of Sir Henry Lynch of Castlecarra of the first part, Peter Lynch her second son of the second part and Ann Lynch, her only daughter, of the third part. On the death of her grandchild Anastasia Blake, she became entitled to a bond for £3000 set on the lands of Richard Blake of Ardfry on his lands at Rinville, which had been given by Philip Lynch to Richard. Two-thirds is to go to Peter and one third to Ann once she makes a marriage acceptable to her mother. Also, she wants to check if the assignment is within the rules of the Catholic Church, and if not she will void the assignment.
