Marriage Settlement between Geoffry Browne of CastlemacGarett, Co. Mayo, Esq., and Dominick Browne of Ashford, Co. Galway, Esq. of the first part; Sir Henry Lynch of Castle Carra, Co. Mayo, Bart., Robert Lynch Blosse of Tuam, Co. Galway, his son and heir, and Hariett Lynch, eldest daughter of the said Sir Henry, of the second part. and Hariett Lynch, eldest daughter of the said Sir Henry, and John Browne of Westport, Esq. and Oliver Martin of Tulliry, Esq. of the third part. It recounts the marriage settlement of Dominick Browne and Megg Blake in 1693, settling lands in Co. Galway and Co. Mayo on the estate, and these are in turn passed on to Dominick and Harriet.

It settles the marriage settlement (LE50/3/41) and demises the rights to the property to Dominick Geffrey Browne, son of Dominick and Harriet, his deceased wife.

Lease by Sir Robert Lynch Blosse of Moat, Co. Mayo, Bart., to Charles O’Donnell of Newcastle Esq. of the quarters of Meelick, Newcastle, Carroreugh and Cloonmonihan, Co. Mayo for 31 years at a rent of £100 p.a. He is to abide by any partition agreement between Sir Robert and Garrett Moore of Cloghan, King’s Co., and not to plant grass potatoes in the last three years of the lease.

Outline of the estate of the late Michael Lynch. It details the conveyance by Sir Robuck Lynch of 200a. to his second son Peter and his wife Bibion. These lands were settled on their only son Michael on his marriage. It also notes that Peter’s elder brother, Sir Henry, had been attainted for high treason.

Lease of Sir Henry Lynch Blosse of Mote, County Mayo and Garrett Moore of Annaghbeg, Co. Galway to William Johnson of Balla, farmer of the house and a plot of ground to build a malt house, along with a garden, to hold for three lives at 5s. Also lease by Sir Henry Lynch Blosse’s moiety of the premises for a further 61 years at 2s.6d. The lessee undertakes to slate and point the dwelling within two years.
