Letter to Father Hayes from James Joseph MacNamee, Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise, responding to a letter of 27 January 1954 from Father Hayes asking permission for Father Mark Mimnagh to come into Bishop MacNamee's diocese to organise Muintir na Tíre guilds. Bishop MacNamee writes that 'Your proposal is extremely unusual, but as it would afford me an opportunity to help Muintir na Tíre I will agree to it on certain conditions.' He also notes that while there is no vacancy for Father Mimnagh in his diocese at the moment, 'there might arise an occasion for his services any day'.
