This sub-subseries consists of correspondence, booklets, brochures and other material relating to the designation of terminology in the Irish language and is arranged chronologically where possible and appropriate. The first file consists of booklets published by the Department of Education listing terms relating to various topics such as music, metalwork, woodwork, dressmaking, and sports. The second file consists of correspondence with the Irish language terminology committee and includes brochures and lists of terms for chess, psychology, swimming and Gaelic football.

Two documents relating to the tenure of professors of the College. The first document is entitled 'Case on behalf of the Corporate Body of Queen's College Galway' and the second is the 'Opinion of Counsel' H.P. Jellett (28 Apr 1898), stamped University Press Office, TCD, 6 May 1898. A note records that 'After this "opinion" the matter was allowed to drop. It was felt that the proposed remarks were all of them too dangerous'.
