Materials pertaining to the book 'The Galway Hooker' by Patrick Farrell (Pádraig Ó Fearghail), who used Seán Ó Cathasaigh as an information source in the compilation of materials for book. The book references the Ó Cathasaigh/Casey family and two of their boats, the Púcán 'Uí Brasail' and Bád Mór 'St. Patrick'. Includes photocopies of Farrell's book drafts, design plans and construction details for the boats, and correspondence between Farrell and Ó Cathasaigh in Irish.
